  1. I remember the speech Zelenskyy was talking about. It was back in March 2022. He addressed Putin. It was before the details of the Bucha slaughter had been discovered. And was in reaction to Putin’s original demands. He said he would agree to not join NATO. That he would give the three eastern areas the free vote if they wanted to become INDEPENDANT from Ukrsine, and something else, I forget now. But Putin did nit reply or react (at least publicly) at all. Why? Putin had commented that he did nit consider Zelenskyy as the legitimate representative of Ukrsine. Remember in the very first set of columns of tanks towards Kyiv he had also prepared to send a replacement for Zelenskyy as his choice of president. Back in the beginning of 2022 in his announcement Putin even refused to say Zelenskyy’s name. He refused to acknowledge his authority. Then another reason why Putin ignored Zekenskyy’s response is because Putin’s reasons for the invasion were fake. He did not care about the people of the regions he took claim to, he wanted the regions for Russia, not to be independant. Putin wanted to take Control over Ukraine with his own leader there, not.Zelenskyy. He wants Moldova too. So back in the beginning of 2o22, like Zelenskyy told Friedman, Putin simply ignored him. .

  2. @ugniusneimontas4498 but Zelenskyy was not the one that invaded. Putin can halt it for peace anytime. Ukraine is defending itself from invasion. Do you or Lex not think that Zelenskyy WANTS peace? Of course he does, but it is the aggressor that needs to be told to stop. Stop defending means surrender. Why should Lex be asking the country to stop warding off the bully? .

  4. @mseeross he is not telling lex, or anyone they are outrageous. Lex is not in attendance. . He is expressing his own reaction. How he rates it. If I find your comment impertinent, then can write that. It would be my interpretation of what you said. We can all have differing points of view. This is not Russia ,
