@Leader977 Yet they did, several times. And your analogy is wrong. The missle and air defence are not racing against each other linearly. They are following a terectrary in opposite directions. Like with clay pigeon shooting, you calculate where the object will be whatever speed it is traveling. Even a stationary object hits an object traveling at speed.
