Your armourment industry is making a fortune. Just the DONATIONS alone of tanks Poland GAVE to Ukraine then placed a huge order for upgrades with thE USA was worth 23.8Billion. Then 90% of all that “money” you are loaning to Ukraine is staying in the USA for the purchase of ammunition and armourment. The older items already sent to Ukraine saved your government in storage and demilitarising costs, as they are not your current models. So realy where are you loosing out? More jobs, taxes paid and your own military updating their own assets.

Don‘t we know!

Because it is the right thing to do. Putin’s attack on Ukraine is not a single action by him with no consequences elsewhere. His Wagner troops helped train the Hamas fighters in Africa. His alliance with Iran and Syria, now North Korea. India is not paying for Russian oil in Russian currency. What “favour” do you think Putin is paying Iran with for the drones and Kim Yung Un with for the missiles?

So because the fight against this invasion is getting even more difficult for them you are recommending running away.

He did not die in prison. He caught pneumonia and he died in Kherson hospital where he was being cared for. A place he was rallying the Russians to destroy.

@spudrubble do you really think none of the foreign Journalists that reside in Moscow have requested and hoped for an interview with Putin? Hundreds of requests have been denied. The real question is why do you think this one has been allowed. .

How does a sanction inhibit free speech?

Inciting genocide and hate speech is punishable in Europe. We are civilised. I do not know about a ban on Carlson travels here, not heard anything on that. Either way I am sure he is not bothered. Was he not recently in Hungry? Considering we have many exiled Russians living in Europe I can not see a problem with him coming, If he wants to preach and lecture us that Putin is a pussycat and is only defending his people, then good luck with that. Too many countries here have lived under the oppression of that previous regime. They are free now and want to stay that way. Putin lies, does not hold Romany agreements, even bilaterale signed ones. Tucker is seen as an ideal popaganda platform for Putin, nothing more. Tucker has no chance in uncovering any truths. But it will be interesting to hear just how far from reality Putin will push it.

It is not the USA That has refused. The Ukrainians and all other ex-Soviet nations know what Putin means by ceasefire. Putin wants to hold onto all the stollen „territory they are now occupying and to be able to negotiate for the rest.“ The actual most recent words of the Kremlin. All along Putin has followed the words of Dugin and his own essay of 2021 on reclaiming all the previous Soviet countries for Russia. Belarus has succumb. Georgia and Moldova currently under military threat from Putin. Ukraine wants to keep free and whole. They want Russian forces to exit their land. They know no agreement will be upheld by Russia. Putin does not just want the four areas he supposedly annexed in 2022, he wants to separate Kyiv from access to the Black Sea. If he cannot gain Odessa by military means, then by ceasefire and ‚negotiation‘. And in a few years later the attacks will start again. He will send more insurgents into what remains of Ukraine to ‚‘legitimise‘ said attack. It worked in the Crimea and the Donbas regions, so will work in Putin’s advantage again!

What are you talking about? Disputes with farmers or any other such issues are just part and parcel of everyday politics. French farmers put sheep on the streets in previous disputes. We have riots and protests all the time. All legal. Disputes get discussed and resolved. What goes on in Ukraine is very much the concern of Europe. The USA did not ban the notion of a ceasefire: not under their jurisdiction. Europe knows too well what Putin means by that suggestion. It is your prerogative to dismiss any evidence others have proven, just does not make you right.

@user-pi4ih8rl2x yes Boris was first on the scene after the invasion and Ukraines initial pushback but that is not exactly what he said. He said Zelenskyy should respond to Putin’s proposals in any way he felt was what Ukraine wanted, but not feel pressurised into making a deal if he did not believe in it. He said the U.K. would back his decision either way. The delegation came back from Russia to discover the catastrophes inflicted by the marauding invaders in Bucha. That would have been the biggest influence on the Ukrainian resolve.

Wow, are you Russian? Fascists are the ones Europe are veering against. There has been an upsurge, ie Hungry, but they are not forbidden to speak. Better their hate is heard as a forewarning!

Who is ‚we‘. First I heard about sanctioning him. Who said that? Tucker Carlson? Sounds more like Trump tactic to me. Good for him getting the interview. Putin’s performance spin will be interesting as our own correspondents on the ground there have been refused such access. Putin is keen to show China his softer ‚worldly image‘. One for the OSCARs no doubt.
1
That is a lie and you know it! If you truly were following what was happening in Russia it would not be difficult to see for yourself. But then Putin has imprisoned or poisoned all opposition. His greatest political rival has just been moved to jail in Siberia. If still alive, after the “elections” in March he may well be moved back to Moscow jail where his wife and lawyer will be able to visit him.

Agree good to hear what the dictator says. He will not divulge to Carlson what his true or ultimate objectives are, but it will be interesting to hear his latest version and the spin. We hear so little from reliable Russian sources due to their fear of the consequences. And hundreds outside journalist residing in Moscow have been refused an interview with him. Why do you consider the centuries of experience gathered by world governments should have no value compared with that of a novice? All opinions need to be heard, but evidence and experience never ignored.

@brandtbollers3183 Maybe you should look up what ‘Fascist’ means! Ignoramus. The perfect reception ground for Putin’s KGB smoke screens.
1
@brandtbollers3183 Were you there?
1
Folks. Stop there. The EU are not and have not ever considered sanctioning Tucker Carlson because of an interview with Putin. I personally suspect intrigue and interest in the results of the interview will be the main reaction. So who made that claim? If Carlson hisself, then he is trying out the tried and tested Trump tactics! If other journalists, then they are not journalists but sensationalists only.

Maybe because the money Congress is allowing Ukraine to spend on US weapons is helping your economy?

A favour to Trump

You think you are going to get the truth from Putin? This is just a another platform for Putin’s propaganda. But, yes it will be refreshing to get to hear the latest spin Putin has explaining away his desire for a new Soviet style empire.
