  1. He is pissed of with NATO because he asked why he had not been invited to join soon after he took up presidency. He was told NATO does not recruit members, they ask to join. And it has to go through the process. He made it clear that considering the importance of Russia he expected to be taking into NATO on his own terms and not have to wait in a queue like all the minor countries. Hence not invited and not officially applied to join. As a previous podcast said, Putin sees himself as a too big a player to talk with countries he sees as insignificant. He is unwillig to get around a table with Zelenskyy. He wants to hold talks ONLY with the big boys present, ie the USA, which he considers his equal. And yes, waiting for the lightweight Trump.

  4. The teachings of Aleksandr Dugin run parallel to Putins convictions. So any Kremlin member is likely to share those beliefs too.
