  1. I am getting frustrated with all this backing down and slacking of support. If only it was better known that, despite the so trigger words “Pearl Harbour” and mid way into the participation of the USA into WW2, their support was waiting. Imagine how today all the victorious films”our guys rescuing Europe” “how we beet Hitler” etc would not be there and Europe so different from today if the USA continuing participation and the moral boost it did for the Belagerer Europeans would never had hapoened. I have loads of evidence on a trip even your historian seems unaware of. Album full of photos, leaflets etc. my dad was one of a BritisH AA Battery that was shipped to the USA IN 1943 to take part in a tour of many military towns of the USA including Wilmington, West Point, Boston, Laramie, L.A. etc They put on demonstrations and took part in exchanges of ideas. Our “boys”were also entertained ie Hollywood Bowl and met many film stars that were also promoting support. I surmise that even then the USA was suffering a certain amount of fatigue as initial failures and casualties numbers must have been having an effect. If more knew that as late as 1934 it was considered the USA was in need of a boost for moral to this extent, maybe they would find it easier to recognise the same pattern here and today.
