The grain used to be shipped out to Africa, Asia etc by ship via the Black Sea. Because of the war this transport by train has been a work around. Previous reports have said the reason it gets stuck in Europe is because the onwards transportation for bulky grain works out as too expensive. Yes, Russia has been stealing Ukrainian grain from the eastern regions. They can more easily shift it over land Eastwards.

@Hereford1642 military aid and domestic politics are too separate things. Ukraine exports the grain, it is the shippers and non-Ukraine ports that need to find the money to forward it on. Yes, this is where it needs to be sorted out, but maybe because they would rather ship their own grain than pay for Ukrainian grain to be shipped? It puts up the prices, so should make home grown and Ukraine imports equal in value, this is what needs sorting. But this is a whole other issue than providing ammunition and armament for Ukraine to repel this aggression. The Polish people know this. They know first hand of Putin’s oppression and by neighbouring Belarus. The people may be a bit tired as they have helped and harboured Ukrainian Refugee families from the very start, but are still the biggest supporters of Ukraine, considering the alternative!

Open your eyes. It is easy to see why.

Maybe in the USA and other places where Putin is not on their doorstep. Too many countries here have had first hand experience of run ins with how he operates. He is trying to put the freed Russia back into the box of oppression. And does not want those surrounding Russia to prosper in independence . It undermines his rule. Only 20 miles from here a Putin ordered assassination was botched and killed a local woman and left two other seriously ill from Novichok poisoning. The smirk on his face when he explained those two we had identified as the assassins were infact „tourists visiting our beautiful cathedral“.
