  2. A huge amount of Ukrainians are not in the country right now and there are sways of the Country under occupation. A fair election would be nahe impossible. Unnecessary extra admin apart from the danger of election centres being bombed. If Puin can bomb cafes he would most certainly bomb them too. The U.K. had a special combined government during WW2. In wartime the people need to pull together. We had many displaced persons at that time too. Entirely different for Putin. He wants to display his „popularity“. The results are preprescribed anyway. Plus he recently changed the rules alowing himself extra terms in office (previously restricted). So he must make good on that power grab move to fein legitimacy to his „poplar“ presidency.
