In the interest of world politics conferences etc our late queen had to entertain any number of dubious characters over her long reign. Xi Jinping, Vladimer Putin, Bashar al-Assad, Nicolae Ceausescu. It is diplomacy not an indication of alliance.

  2. @Wimblefish yes, we all suspect he is in Putin‘s pocket, but officially he has not declared so. This will be an official visit. By keeping it at this level we have the opportunity to show him what connections he would be missing, if he does pull a fast one and puts Ukraine under the bus.
