@ossertthewozzard you seem to confuse patriotism with nationalism. The former is to love your country and wanting it to become as good as it can be for everyone independently from and without infringing or discriminating against any other and to actively do all you can in big and small to make it get there. Nationalism is the bigoted delusion that your country is better than every other and that you and others who happened to be born there deserve special priviliges over everyone not born there because you, of course, are better than everyone else by default.
