A random bellend... Really, they don't chose their uniform, and anyone who gets shouted down is asking for it by breaking security rules posted all around the perimeter if one cares to look. It's no different from any idiot trying to be "funny" to a police officer for the umpteenth time that week...

Jakd0204 saying they just work 2h is factually wrong. Each guard rotation lasts for two hours, yes, but the change of guards takes at least 30 minutes each rotation, then they are expected to polish and clean any imperfections of their uniform and kit for it to be perfect for their next rotation. If there are three shifts, they then have around two and a half hours to eat, rest and hygiene with something like 10min reaponse time in case of full alert before their next guard rotation and two rotations each 8h shift. If only two shifts, they will just have 45min rest between rotations and three rotations each 12h shift. Each shift would be at least double the number of guards on rotation at any given moment.

GAMING WITH BEAST wrong. They stand there as security guards a few weeks each year as part of their six months home duty rotation. Each regiment contributing to the household guards are split with one half conducting combat or garrison duties abroad and the other half conducting training manouvers, training up new recruits, guarding the queen and refitting their gear for the next active rotation. They are NOT "just standing there"

But what about Wodewick?

I grew up on an island where a soviet defector crashed his out of fuel AN2 on an offshore reef in the 80ies, the pilot had bailed just before the crash in the small hours of the night and managed to swim to shore where he, relieved at seeing that the signs were all in latin characters, made his way to the tiny customs office hut of the tiny fishing harbour, sat down and waited as it wasn't manned that early in the morning. He was found by a couple of local fishermen and managed to get them to understand he was seeking asylum as a defector, directed them to spot his wreck on the reef. The fishermen helped him call the emergency number, after which police arrived as quickly as possible and took him into protective custody at the local hospital to treat his injuries while an interpretor and diplomatic staff was on their way. The plane was salvaged by the costal artillery regiment, conservated and put up in a local museum.

Tomas Anglim hot tip, don't bet on that... Their counterparts guarding the Swedish royal palace carry live rounds in the chamber and sharp enough bayonets to deal with any real threat, even the mounted guards with bolt action 6.5mm mauser carbines. And that was when I was standing guard as a conscript in training. I bet these brittish combat veterans are trusted a lot more.

The thing is, while easy to replicate once the composition is known, the tools to find out and analyse that exact composition from solid chunk samples was not availiable until the mid 1980ies...

@digitalnomad9985 quit lying. You aren't convincing anyone.

@russellmiles2861 faith is insanity, so...

Except that the motion of the hand crank means that the saw will wiggle with the cranking...😬

And I'd suggest reading every religious text in paralell with a "pick up artist" manual and a psychology textbook on the manipulative mechanics of abusive relationships, then compare the tangents...

Exactly, because why would a bunch of extortionist syndicates that doesn't even produce anything and still rakes in the money ever give up their golden goose, especially when they managed to make it legal and tax excempt too?

@GalactusOG have you ever tried not lying?
2
@BonShula and you are of any less bad faith?🤣🤡

You can adjust that yourself in the youtube settings

Good for Ukraine that one of, if not the best gun for taking out it's crew regardless of if the plane stays flying until it runs out of fuel is on it's way mounted in the Strf9040C and Lvkv90C on top of the many towed and truck mounted original versions of the Bofors 40mm/L70 that Ukraine is already operating. Both the old 40mm HE AA round and the new 40mm 3P programmable multifunction VT round will easily make Swizz cheese out of any offensively used Russian AN2s. And the Gepard is no slouch at taking them out either. A short 3-6 round burst of either AA system will perforate both fuselage and crew. The plane might survive to be repaired by anyone near where it ends up, but the crew will be dead by the time it hits the ground one way or another.

They can't afford ice, they have to work two more life times to pay off their infant checkups...

ARX 351 the SA80 has a bayonet too, and it's perfectly adequate to deal with idiots drunk or stoned enough to attack a guard. Sure, there is a risc that a guard might be injured in a fight with a knife wielder, but they won't go down alone, and they are always in line of sight of at least one more guard at all times.

@patrikhjorth3291 as a fellow Swede, I prefer to add the pineapple to a kebab/gyros pizza, the kind that's essentially a kebab/gyros salad on a thin crust pizza. With hot and garlic mixed yoghurt based kebab sauce.

@GalactusOG most animals, yes, when they are sentient and self aware like us. Plants, nope.

@GalactusOG "The winners are the people who figures out what works and do that" So you admit that you lost on walk over then?😂

@ImmersiveSportsScience FOLLOW THE SHOE!

Yup, my dad was an officer at the costal artillery regiment that salvaged the wreck from a tiny rock a few hundred meters off shore near a tiny civilian fishing harbor.

@Amlaeuxrai no, the ruining of Gotland is exclusively the fault of the tourists and exploitative club owners from Stockholm who drives up the local costs of living to nearly beyond what's affordable on a local working familys wages. (Both adults presumed to be working full time)

Lewis X- Z The queen mother has done her duty for your country as a woman volounteer soldier during WW2 and the blitz in her late teens, that alone is something I considder worth some loyalty and reapect. Can't say the same about Charles as far as I know though. /Greetings from Sweden.

Cooper L. As long as one don't pick up the phone that's calling and starts talking, the person who owns it is still showing proper respect as whomever is calling can't know where the phone is. Taking it up and bouncing the call or even texting that one is unable to answer is also fine while less optimal.

@cobicobi6417 if you belive the bible is anything more than a hackjob copypaste compilation of MENA mythology of the early 1st to the 5th century CE even worse than Twilight, then you are clinically insane by default and disqualified from serious discussion on the topic in the first place.

It will still suffer badly from SPAAGs

While technically true, alcohol is so hydrophilic that it will absorb water from the air and return to a sollution of at most vol.98% alcohol.

And you can bet this is likely to see a revival if the maga-evangelical neo-confederates get their way...
