@pranavkumar1818 mostly, yes the high tax system is supported by the public, though not by the right wing parties trying to lobby and subvert us back to the social situation of the 1890ies... A lot of the support for high taxes is also not threatened by the corruption that does exist as that corruption is a lot more subtle and personal favour based rather than economic in the way that seem to be common in other parts of the world. Typical examples of Swedish corruption would be like a city planning administrator making sure their friends construction permit application gets fast tracked and approved despite minor violations of the local building code in exchange for beeing allowed to use said friends vacation home in Spain or Thailand for a couple of weeks the year before the application was submitted... The kind of corruption where an official demands favours or money just to do their job at all is almost non existant.

@troyallen8223 no more than five hours after the order is given on either the Finnish or Swedish side. That's my guesstimate on how long it would take to mobilize an amphibious company that's already on standby and travel to the Åland main island by littoral water assault boats.

@didrik9515 While I agree that the Finns are best off ruling themselves in every way, I actually don't think there would have been any serious civil wars over cultural differences if we had stayed united.
