  1. How? Maybe by complicating communications between all of the NATO countries around the Baltic while ALL of those nations are serious contributors to Ukranian restistance and defense. Swedish donated IFVs, MBTs, Artillery, missiles and small arms are shooting up Moskovite vehicles, helis and planes with impunity in Kursk and in Ukraine, and Swedish donated AWACS are coordinating Danish donated F-16 planes to where they do the most effect and triangulating Moskovite missile, drone, artillery and aircraft launch areas for counter strikes. Putin wants those donations to stop...

The soviets only became allies of necessity AFTER their AXIS CO-beliguerents broke their territorial ambitions pact. no hands in ww2 were clean, only some were bloodier than others. The main violators of my own countrys neutrality was the soviet baltic fleet and the red army airforce, with almost a thousand of non-beliguerent civilians murdered by their hands, most of whom aboard a civilian, fully lit passenger ferry on a fixed, daily route in neutral and international waters with no possibility for misidentification under any circumstances.

If that tanker is any longer than the SF 1500 ro-ro ferries between Visby on Gotland and the Swedish mainland, those waves are nothing as those ferries were custom built in the early '00s for providing a smooth ride across the Baltic sea with at least two wave peaks under the keel in all normal weather below a hurricane strength gale...
