  1. This strategy hasn't worked when you have Economist giving you cautionary information that is not a successful strategy. The auto tariffs with China are idiotic, there are no Chinese auto manufacturers selling cars in the United States. Chinese manufacturers could not pass the safety requirements to sell cars in the US.

  2. PhoenixRising The Tariff is for imports, car manufacturers. There aren't any Chinese car manufacturers that export cars from China to America. If they apply these tariffs on car parts made in china your looking at adding thousands of dollars to every car made in America. That would kill new cars sales across the board.

  4. PhoenixRising Chinese car manufacturers do not make and export cars to America to be sold in America. All of the expenses for Tesla are pushed off on to the Tesla buyer. So if they are made in China that manufacturer feel zero of that tariffs.
