Comments by "" (@theylied1776) on "Michael Wolff’s Trump tell-all ‘full of lies’: David Bossie" video.
The Critics on the far right can say whatever they will, he recorded his conversations in the white house, that's why Trump cannot claim these comments were not said or that he's making it up.

John Lalawethika You only present the recordings if there are any lawsuits... do you see any lawsuits?

John Lalawethika Let me know when they start filing the lawsuits, okay. Oh and by the way, there won't be any lawsuits because the people involved are government officials, therefore this book is protected under the First Amendment.

John Lalawethika They can't file for "slander". Slander is spoken, this is in print, so you mean "liable". They can't file for liable either. The laws are different for a government official.

John Lalawethika You don't know much about civil law, do you?

You really don't know how civil claims work, do you? Government officials have no chance of winning a defamation claim. Almost anything that has been said or written about a Government official, especially the executive branch, is protected by the First Amendment. You can't get around that fact. But if you disagree show me the case law that proves me wrong.

Nope, the First Amendment prevents this. The burden of proof is higher for Government officials. The White House had an advanced copy of the book but trumps lawyers only sent a [cease and desist letter] instead of filing a defamation lawsuit. They didn't file for defamation or liable against the writer or publisher because they couldn't.
