It took China almost 13 years to refurbish a single Russian/ Ukrainian made aircraft carrier and that still has electrical propulsion problems. Their new aircraft carrier suffers from electrical and propulsion problems.
4
Michael Zhang No, the construction took 13 years they had it for almost 20 years.
1
Melvin Lowe Research? They had Russian Engineers to help them. China doesn't have a military industrial complex like the United States, the UK, Germany, Russia, and France. If you haven't noticed China is still buy Russian fighter jets, ships, and submarines. China's Flagship fighter jet the j-20 uses Russian avionics and Russian made engines because they can't produce an engine powerful enough for their own fighter jets. China is still 30 years behind the rest of the world when it comes to producing their own military hardware.
1
Kirin Hasn't completed trials, what do you think they're testing the electrical and propulsion, genius! Prove me wrong. Why do you think Chinese building so much many islands in the South China Sea?
1
Kirin I'll ask Again, what do you think they're testing right now? The electrical components and the propulsion, it hasn't gone in the service they are testing it at sea.
1
Kirin With that one comment you've proven that you have no idea what you're talking about and you're out of your depth.
1
Kirin Please post a link or anything that proves your point. The fact you admit they are still testing proves my point not yours. They are testing everything electrical components the propulsion even some weapon systems. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.businessinsider.com/china-new-aircraft-carrier-compare-liaoning-2017-12#ampshare=http://www.scmp.com/news/china/diplomacy-defence/article/2123610/what-are-differences-between-chinas-two-aircraft?utm_source%3Dbusinessinsider%26utm_medium%3Dpartner%26utm_campaign%3Dcontentexchange
1
Kirin Of course you won't prove it because you can't.
1
Yes, i Did, and you confirmed they are still testing.
1
I'll ask you again, prove me wrong!
1
The United States has actual engineers where china just steals other peoples ideas. China can't even develop an engine strong enough to power their J-20. China uses the engines from an old SU-27. Let me know when China has figured out how to build their own military equipment instead of making Russian copies and calling them Chinese.
1
Really? Let me know when China has a J-20 or any Jet that doesn't have or depend on Russian avionics and Engines from an SU-27.
1
China Uncensored? I hate to burst your bubble but I read a lot of Engineering articles and magazines. Funny how you can't prove me wrong?
1
I never claimed China couldn't produce anything they openly steal intellectual property. All of their military equipment is nothing more than copies of Russian Tanks, Jets, Ships, and Subs.
1
Melvin Lowe you do realize the plane was invented in the United States not Germany. The first American bomber was made in 1917. The United States also invented the rocket, Germany only copied American designs and schematics from Dr. Robert Goddard who invented the rocket in 1926.
1
Melvin Lowe A jet fighter going through engine update is one thing but when China can't even build their own engines or avionics is something totally different. China copies Russian military equipment. That's a fact.
1
Michael Zhang Well, good for them for being "so advanced" and "ahead of us"... and stealing other people's intellectual property that China never could have come up with on their own.
1
Kirin You have a lot of opinion but you're short on facts, prove me wrong.
1
Kirin And again, you've already admitted they're still testing. What do you think they're testing? Could it be the electrical components on the propulsion?
1
神州 Shenzhou I just feel sorry for you, the rocket was an American invention, firecrackers were a Chinese invention.
1
Michael Zhang Thank you for your opinion. Could you post a link to any of these military analyst? Let me guess they're Chinese?
1
Michael Zhang If it's that simple why don't you just post a link? Prove me wrong.
1
Kirin Great you can call it a test run, but what are they testing? Answer the question.
1
Michael Zhang the modern multi-stage rocket was invented by an American, Dr. Robert Goddard, in 1926 all the Germans did was put explosives on it. https://www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard/about/history/dr_goddard.html
1
Michael Zhang Even Waerher Von Braun gives credit to Dr. Robert Goddard for inventing the modern rocket. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.space.com/20122-wernher-von-braun.html#ampshare=http://www.space.com/20122-wernher-von-braun.html
1
Kirin Do you mean they're testing systems like electrical components and the propulsion? I'm shocked and amazed!!
1
Kirin When did I claim the F-35 was perfect?
1
Kirin The difference between the F-35 and the J-20 is that in the United States we've been building airplanes for over a hundred years, we invented the airplane, we can make our own engines and Avionics, we don't have to make copies of Russian Jets and use their engines and their Avionics lime China does with the j-20.
1
Kirin Other than the airframe the j-20 is an Su 27.
1
Kirin How does our economy depend on the airplane? The United States is the largest producer of oil and natural gas in the world. So no, our economy does not depend on the airplane.
1
Kirin The avionics and the engines on the j-20 are from in su-27. China cannot produce an engine strong enough for the j27 so they use the engines in avionics from and su-27.
1
Kirin Could you please post a link to this information because every time I ask you to you never do? I wonder why?
1
Kirin The U.S. economy doesn't depend on the military industrial complex. Where exactly are you getting that information can you please post a link to show me where you got that from? Our entire defense budget was $571 billion, that only accounts for 3.5% of our GDP. Last time I checked 3.5 percent is hardly dependent. Seriously you're just making this way too easy for me. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2015/06/25/the-biggest-military-budgets-as-a-percentage-of-gdp-infographic-2/amp/#ampshare=https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2015/06/25/the-biggest-military-budgets-as-a-percentage-of-gdp-infographic-2/
1
I was mistaken they're not Russian china stole the J-20 avionics schematics from the United States. You're welcome because the world knows China could never have come up with something so sophisticated on their own. https://www.yahoo.com/news/china-own-catfish-flying-avionics-205014477.html

An aircraft carrier Russian Engineers helped China build.
1
@chadgaming8071 And where exactly were any of their three aircraft carriers when Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan? You know, China threatened to shoot her Jet out of the air? Oh, that's right, All three of the PLA aircraft carriers were running from the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan that gave Military Escort to Nancy Pelosi.
