These politicians in China got a glimpse of life in the United States and they tried to emulate it without understanding it wasn't real estate developers that picked the locations of the suburbs. These four peacock cities look as if real estate developer copied a residential area out of a magazine. The Metropolitan areas adjacent to cities like Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Miami, and Los Angeles didn't just happen by design. It was overwhelming demand that made them.
