As an American from the south I have the exact same problem with idiots from the south that want to deny that the Civil War was about slavery or that the South started the Civil War. Their level of denial over both topics is cult-like. With this type of idiot, [no amount of evidence will ever be enough and no proof will ever suffice].

@Mikey-xz4vn Nope, you're incorrect. The north did not start the Civil War that would be the South they fired the first shot at northern troops from Fort Sumter. I would suggest that you pick up history book.

@bradjohnson5323 Where is the UK, Italy, Germany, or Japan? The United States has troops stationed there but that doesn't mean any hostile intent? I hate to tell you but your Geographic logic Falls very short of making a point.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Also, by threatening the life of Abraham Lincoln that's an act of sedition and hostility. Several Southern States threaten the life of Abraham Lincoln before he even entered the White House. There were death threats made to Lincoln from Southern politicians over slavery.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Again, when you threaten the life of the President like Southern politicians dead against Abraham Lincoln that's an act of sedition, that is a hostile intent.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Six thousand troops died because of the South fired on Union troops at Fort Sumter. You can't change history and try to justify the Hostile actions of the South.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Southern politicians made their position known to the Union on the abolition of slavery, they directly threatened Abraham Lincoln's life, they tried to assassinate Lincoln before he got to Washington. You cannot change history. The South started and instigated the Civil War. There is no doubt about that fact.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Yes those countries started Wars with us. To the victor goes the spoils, you might want to look that term up.
1
@bradjohnson5323 How exactly was it foreign soil? And which California politicians have made death threats?
1
@bradjohnson5323 Maybe you didn't understand the questions? How was it foreign soil and which Californian Politicians made death threats to the President?
1
@bradjohnson5323 No they couldn't have allowed the South to break away and become their own Nation. There's a reason why France and the British both backed the Confederates by giving the Confederate States Munitions, Arms, and Gold during the Civil War. Had the Union been dissolved and allowed the South to become their own separate Nation Britain, France, and Spain could have claimed our Northwest, Southwest and Western Territories... ALL of the (territorial treaties) with Britain, France, and Spain would have immediately been made (null and void) upon the division of the United States.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Just so you understand, I've been arguing this since I was 12 years old. There's no angle you can introduce that I haven't argued thousands of times already.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Nice try but no, if you've ever researched what Jefferson Davis and the Confederacy had in mind had they broken away from the United States, they would have slaughtered the Native Americans and Mexicans for more land.
1
@bradjohnson5323 This video will explain our fragile territorial treaties to the Southwest with Mexico, Spain, and France. The entire reason why Mexico celebrates Cinco De Mayo is because France invaded it 1861, France wanted parts of Mexico and the Southwest territory. All three countries wanted all of these territories back from the United States. https://youtu.be/8U9vbZwFZL4
1
@bradjohnson5323 And the British wanted the Northwest Territories because they signed a treaty with James K. Polk called the Oregon Treaty in 1846.
1
@bradjohnson5323 The United States didn't invade Mexico after the war. Jefferson Davis and the Confederates planned to literally murder Mexican citizens are Native Americans throughout the Southwest to Mexico after the Civil War. You might want to check your dates and your actual facts.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Yankee Empire? No more of an Empire than the British, the French, or the Spanish were planning. All three nations were chomping at the bit for the Confederates to win so they could invade the Western Territories.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Is this all you are, is this all you've got? At least make it challenging for me.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Lincoln wanted to invade Canada? Is that what one of the voices in your head told you? Where are you getting that from?
1
@bradjohnson5323 Proving your point that you're wrong and neither history or facts aren't on your side.
1
@bradjohnson5323 Yankee Empire? Again, the United States had to protect its territories. So letting the south leave the Union was a delusional pipedream.
