Most of these 4channers laughing at artists were in denial about the same thing happening to programmers until about a week ago. The "leveling of the playing field" brought on by AI could eliminate human craftsmanship and expertise. With nothing to work on and no reason to get better at anything, what will people live for? Endless CONSOOMING.

AI art will not replace art made by famous people. 99.9% of tech workers and perhaps white collar workers in general will be unemployed soon and still people will still only pay millions for a name like Damien Hirst or Girhard Richter. At least you have an endless source of furry porn.

@morgannyan2738 Human software developers are gone in a couple years. This is the most hilarious cope I've seen yet. Gloating about artists who probably aren't even pros getting "replaced" when you are 100% going to be among the first on the chopping block :D

I CAN'T WAIT TO CONSOOM SO MUCH CONTENT

1 million Ashkenazis? Doesn't that sound just a little high? I mean really
5
@NURGLESBLESSING copious amounts

The words of a complete and utter philistine. Finally I can consoom non-stop AI generated loli content! This is the zenith of human artistry!
5
@morgannyan2738 Just remember where you were when they told programmers "learn to scrub toilets."
4
@Yoro.Thatcher.Demllion The US is service industry based. When AI takes over all of those jobs there will be over 60% unemployment. Also, most artists were working other jobs anyway.
4
Luke is just LARPing, bro doesn't farm, the only thing he farms is (You)s on /g/. His fields have withered

I can't wait to CONSOOM so much content

@crusaderACR You think if every white collar job (>60% of Americans) was automated there wouldn't be so much competition that your skills would become worthless? In countries with service economies like the US, there would be an extreme surplus of mechanics, tradesmen, etc. Robots will take your job too, but long before that happens millions and millions of very smart people will take your job.

What are ya some kinda chomo?
3
What's next, my loli hentai collection?

@llVIU AI art looks like shit, though. It all looks like the same concept art or fantasy novel book cover. Even with a different training set, it would still produce warped lines, perspectives, and human anatomy. It can't compete on quality, but because of convenience and the fact that most people are philistines it will probably be "good enough." The kind of art that rich people deal in and others scratch their heads at wont be replaced by AI of course. Human celebrity is a necessary part of it.
3
@crusaderACR Your work is meaningless and soon to be automated, though. Most of these artists probably work other jobs on the side, anyway. Doubt they were the ones dunking on blue collar workers. Maybe that's your inferiority complex?
2
@kitchenersown The majority of cases where guns are used in self defense are the result of arguments escalated with guns.
2
He's Iranian, they knew each other. Wasn't random

AI will raise productivity to the point that almost every product will go the same way. Automation and general purpose robots will then make our society fully automated. People will be free to make art for art's sake, but there will definitely be a lot of noise to cut through. Or a lot of good art, who knows.
2
It seems the slightest amount of human input would be necessary to establish human authorship.

That’s just some Eastern Europeans scamming people out of bitcoins. Ridiculous number of big channels are getting hacked by it

@UmUs Always a fantasy about a tyrannical government. It's bullshit. What will happen is gun toting zombies moving against a government they happen to disagree with because Facebook and Fox News told them to.
1
It wasn't a random homeless guy. It was a premeditated attack by someone who knew the victim.
1
The government is mandating this tech to go in vehicles but it hasn't been invented yet. Probably some kind of non-invasive breathalyzer that's bound to give a lot of false positives
1
This was bullshit, CashApp guy knew the attacker personally.
1
@cherry1le Acid attacks are rare and only in London. Knife crime is also much lower there per capita than in the US. It's not the same anyway. 1-2 people can stop a "mass stabbing" before anyone is dead. A mass shooter is much more likely to kill. Fact is, those countries were willing to give up guns in exchange for a safer society. Americans are not willing to do the same.

@WhiskeyPatriot World seems pretty scary from down in your bunker doesn't it?

He'd definitely need to plant in that clearing so the bees have enough forage. All depends on the agreement with the utility company but the people doing maintenance would most likely just tear through it and then get stung by bees.

You have to keep it in your pants pointed at your dick at all times like he does. Only problem is those Sigs like to go off by themselves sometimes...

@Juniper Richmond The free market is an ideological fantasy
1
A few high-profile cases in the US recently where completely harmless people were shot or shot at for just making a mistake (getting in the wrong car, pulling up in the wrong driveway, etc).

return to newsgroups and irc
1
@Tallero it hasn’t been good since 2007
1
@clarkkent4665 What will you conservative Americans do when you can't tell people "iffn ya don't work ya don't eat" because automation has created so much surplus value that we live in a socialist utopia? FInally blow your brains out?
1
In America, if you support mental health programs you're supporting the anti-gun side and vice-versa.
1
@UmUs The majority of "self-defense" cases with guns were arguments between retards with guns who escalated it with their guns. Having a gun on you increases the chance that you'll use it.
1
Writing, coding, and browsing the internet are very easy to do on some "just works" Linux distro like Mint. Industry standard video and audio software aren't available though.
1
The utility company guys when they come to trim that right of way under the lines 🚜🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
