  1. Why are they not allowed to have interests? Are people not allowed to learn outside of a degree program? And are we really discrediting Gates for not being a human calculator when he was an accomplished math student in college who even published a new algorithm?

  4. My mom is an adjunct professor (she had me instead of getting a doctorate, oops). It's terrible how they treat her and the others and it has to be rough not knowing if you'll be making the same money next semester or any at all. I recently found out at one university the ENTIRE philosophy faculty is adjunct.
