If you aren't receiving a guaranteed payoff for your investment of time, money, and attention then you move on to people, things, and activities that give you a guaranteed payoff. When a Man reaches this age women his age easily fail the cost-benefit analysis. If these women upped their game by dropping the feminism and embracing being traditional where they brought 1950s Housewife™ levels of value with them then things would be quite different. What could modern feminist-influenced women in their 40s & 50s offer a Man that could be better than the peace, quiet, and freedom he enjoys?
