  2. The real reason why the US will no longer be the leader is -- yes, corruption. I was raised in a communist country and saw the invisible effect on people slowing down ostensibly yielding to the overt and abusive power. My guess is that Ukraine was subject to this as well as when US "investments" were coming into a corrupt environment ready to go along. I like the "invisible" aspect of the decay as the power strata think they can easily maintain control but do not see it slipping away because corruption and subservience is the basic and "wanted" component of their power.
