  1. I purchased the first Apple iPhone. It was unlocked (used) and I used it with other com providers -- until I was refused Apple (paid for) service for the battery replacement. I got a new battery from a generic phone repair store and I never bought another Apple product. Yep, you do not own an Apple product even though you paid for it.
