Agree. We have a certain problem with the government. Today, a lot of problems have accumulated in our government, but we have no other choice but to support it. In the "Russian" opposition there are real Russophobes who promote the defeat of Russia in Ukraine, the weakening of Russia under the guise of fighting for democracy. Now we are in confrontation with our enemies, who, in the event of our defeat, will take advantage of our country in their interests. (There is no need to tell fairy tales about democracy and freedom. In international politics, countries are primarily interested in their own interests and, at any opportunity, will try to use Russia in their interests).
Therefore, we have no other option but to support the current government now with the future replacement of the oligarchs in power with Russian patriots who will defend Russia's independence, develop the economy and revive Russia's former power. We need a modern analogue of the Russian Empire.

In fact, the situation is not much different from other countries. In other countries, there are not much fewer different ethnicities. It's just that in the case of Russia, ethnic minorities are given political subjectivity. In the case of conditional France, Ukraine, the United States, other nationalities are not given separate political rights and therefore they are not noticeable. They are just Ukrainians, Americans, French and so on.
In Russia, the situation is different and this is the main problem. Such a division creates the ground for possible separatism, which the West likes to support.

@usul573 "US has never invaded a country" You're so funny man.
The US invaded Syria, Iraq, Libya and etc. :) You, under the guise of fighting for democracy, invaded sovereign countries and turned life there into hell.
NATO did not supply weapons to Ukraine for years, NATO and Ukraine did not conduct joint exercises, Ukraine did not have NATO instructors on its territory until February 24, Ukraine does not have a desire to join NATO in the constitution, NATO did not train Ukrainian soldiers, NATO did not ignored Russian demands to abandon the integration of Ukraine into NATO. Nothing happened. Just one day, for no apparent reason, Russia decided to attack Ukraine.
You purposefully supported the anti-Russian forces in Ukraine, and then decided to arm them to fight Russia. This poses a serious threat to Russia and we were forced to respond to this.
You threaten the security of Russia and we will fight at any cost for the security of Russia, since our existence depends on it.

@howtoappearincompletely9739 I'm not afraid of this particular blogger. Information plays an important role in the 21st century. Control over information allows you to influence society in a particular country. To do this, the Americans and the British are trying to create media, public organizations that will promote the narratives they need in different countries. Today, thanks to the Internet, the West can also conduct its propaganda among Russians. I'm afraid that at a moment of crisis they may try to create the necessary information background for the implementation of a scenario similar to this one. Also, of course, they will have to find loyal Russian elites who will help organize all this, as it was already in Ukraine and some other countries. So in the event of our weakness, the fate of our country will be decided not only by Russians. Americans, British, Europeans, Chinese, Japanese and so on will try to use the weakness to their advantage.

@baltulielkungsgunarsmiezis9714 I mentioned the comparison with the US in the use of the term war. The US doesn't like to use the term either.
It's funny to hear about liberalization. Your liberalization leads to the destruction of the country, terrible civil wars, the emergence of a huge number of terrorists. People's lives don't get any better after that.
It is not good to impose on other countries how their society should be organized. Especially with the help of the armed forces. The inhabitants of these countries must themselves come to the internal arrangement that they want, and the United States has no right to interfere in their affairs.
An attempt by the United States to impose on everyone what values people should have, how power should be organized, will not lead to anything good. I even see it in Russia. The United States is trying to create various media like Radio Liberty, which promote ideas that are beneficial to the United States: separatism of Russian regions, LGBT propaganda (I have nothing against LGBT representatives, but I am against its propaganda), spreading hatred towards the Russian authorities, and so on, supporting all sorts of " democratic institutions", which are trying to impose on Russian citizens the internal structure of the country, support of the opposition.
The US does not allow other countries to tell their people how to live. So let your authorities also not interfere in the internal affairs of Russia.

@east_coast_ceo1070 Yes, yes, yes, bot, of course. Nagorno-Karabakh, of course, is not a disputed territory that Armenia and Azerbaijan cannot divide in any way. This is all a lie of Russian propaganda;) You first need to understand the history of this conflict, and then draw conclusions about it. Azerbaijan wanted to return the territory, which is considered part of Azerbaijan, but Armenia does not like it very much, because Armenians live there.

Yes, Russia did terrible things against Ukraine until 2014. We gave preferential loans, gave preferential prices for gas, tried in every possible way to help Ukraine, but good peaceful Ukrainians went to rallies for the murder of "Muscovites", tried to fight the Russian language, openly mocked Russia's supporters after Maidan 2014, accused Russia of all kinds sins.
Ukraine was the most peaceful creature, but Russia suddenly invaded harmless Ukraine.
You supported the Ukrainian regime, which set as its goal the fight against Russia, and you are responsible for the ongoing war. Russia was not going to fight Ukraine until it became an anti-Russian state.

@rowanpost6063 You talk in a very interesting way. Since Poland and Russia had a common past, they have the right to discuss how Russia should be divided. Great, no problem. Then it turns out that Russia has exactly the same right in relation to those countries that were associated with Russia. We can also argue in the same way how the countries of the former Russian Empire should act. Here, we will say that Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, in our opinion, should return to Russia. For example, our leaders will say this. Do you like this rhetoric? If you don't like it, then why should we tolerate your meddling in our affairs? Maybe the Bashkirs, Tatars, Chechens, Russians, Buryats, Ukrainians and all other nationalities inside Russia will figure out how to live without you? You are running a very dangerous game that you yourself may not like. We, too, can start dialogues about historical justice. You should have at least a modicum of respect for our country.

This is what happens when you talk about something you don't understand at all. You argue as you think could happen in Russia. But the reality is far from the current one. There was no request in society for the restoration of the Russian Empire or the USSR. I will say more, any such sentiments in society were suppressed, because a nationalist-minded society can demolish the government, which is only interested in making money on oil and gas.
There is no ideology in Russia. Putin is essentially a populist who adapts to Russian society and says that his speechwriters will write to him. Yesterday he is a liberal, today he is multinational, tomorrow he is Russian, after tomorrow he is a communist.
Society was not prepared for the current war with Ukraine. There was no request for the liquidation of Ukraine. Just at one moment, the authorities decided to launch a military operation against Ukraine. On February 24, Russian society, for the most part, looked at these events with bewilderment. Nothing was explained to the Russian society. People later had to figure out why we need it.
And even then the authorities are not going to finish the deal with Ukraine. Their goal was to pull off a military operation similar to the Georgian one, where they demand that Ukraine give up its claim to the Donbass and Crimea along with the neutral status of Ukraine. But Ukraine did not go for it, deciding to arrange a full-scale war with Russia. Now the noviopes in the Kremlin don't know what to do with Ukraine. They weren't going to do it. They were not going to return Ukraine to Russia, they do not need it, the future of Russia does not interest them. They want to trade with the west, travel west, and now it's all ruined.
When they achieve their goals and agree with the West on the terms of peace with Ukraine, the Russian authorities will quickly suppress the pro-Russian people who will demand to complete the deal with Ukraine. They don't need it. There are no attempts to revive the Russian Empire or the USSR. This is just populism to motivate people to fight and get peace agreements out of Ukraine.
If they were really going to return Ukraine to Russia, then it was necessary to turn out a military operation back in 2014, when Ukraine had a large part of the population on the side of Russia and was not ideologically indoctrinated, when NATO was not ready to fight for Ukraine, but no, they they didn't need it then, they don't need it now. The return of primordially Russian lands is just populism and nothing more, the authorities are not going to revive Russia.

@LawrenceReitan Yeah, we want war with NATO. Of course, we have a military budget of $70 billion, while the United States alone has a military budget of $800 billion. Of course, now we will take over the whole world. Russia, in response to NATO's approach to the borders, asks NATO to stop. This is definitely Russia wants to take over the whole world. NATO is actively arming Ukraine, planning dozens of military trainings (Ukraine and NATO have planned a dozen military trainings in 2022), and actively training Ukrainian soldiers. Russia asks NATO to stop. NATO ignores and continues to integrate further with Ukraine. Russia launches military operation against Ukraine. Ahhh, Russia wants to take over Ukraine. Are you stupid?
We explained to you that the military development of Ukraine by NATO countries is unacceptable. You have a trillion dollar military budget, we don't want you to be able to attack us. We just want you to get away from our borders.
Why don't you want Ukraine to be a neutral country? Why don't you want to make a buffer zone between Russia and NATO? Stop the US war machine.

@LionCoupleenRoute Well, events inside Russia, of course, affect all of this, but not only this may affect the future relations between Russia and NATO. If Russia loses to NATO and completely loses its sovereignty, then it is clear that there will be no point in feuding with NATO. Then Russia will simply be used in the interests of the West.
But if Russia holds out, then I believe that sooner or later our cooperation may resume again. Obviously, not now, but in decades or generations it may well happen. There is no need to be so categorical here, despite the fact that we now have a confrontation between Russia and NATO. In history, we constantly fought and nothing, always returned to cooperation. The main thing is that our elites should be able to agree on how to live side by side, respect each other and not threaten security. The main thing for ordinary people is not to succumb to hatred, but to be ready to fight if something happens.
In the meantime, we will have a very hard time in the struggle to preserve an independent Russia. I hope that we will not have to fight with NATO for this.

It seems to me that the main problem here lies in the West's attempt to deprive Russia of its subjectivity. In the 90s, there was literally no power in Russia, no one monitored the implementation of laws. This lack of power was filled by bandits, who began to divide the countries among themselves. The lives of ordinary people collapsed accordingly. In the 2000s, we had a normal government, which was already engaged in the development of the country. Later, the West began to implement its plans to rebuild the world in the Russian region: an attempt to withdraw post-Soviet countries from the influence of Russia (support for anti-Russian propaganda in post-Soviet countries, organization of color revolutions), advancing NATO's military infrastructure to Russia's borders (Georgia, Ukraine, etc) to neutralize Russia's defense capabilities and deprive Russia of subjectivity, information propaganda inside Russia to create a government controlled by Russia.
This leads to the fact that society begins to fear because of the NATO military alliance, which wants to completely subjugate Russia. A common misfortune somehow unites society, because of this, people think less about the need to change the government, stagnation begins ... And so on.
At least that's what it looks like to me. It's a pity, of course, that the government is underperforming. If it had worked more efficiently, then our army would have long ago defeated the Ukrainian army and forced Ukraine to sign security guarantees for Russia. And so we are conducting some kind of special operation and Zelensky has not yet been liquidated ...

@cristinatomutza799
But most of all, I'm sad for the people whom Putin abandoned. A lot of people in Kharkov supported us, and when we left these territories, Ukrainian soldiers came here. For them, the inhabitants, who were loyal to the Russian soldiers and continued to live peacefully, became evil collaborators. Why didn’t Putin evacuate the civilians who lived there during the retreat? Some have already been killed, some will be tortured and put in jail for years to come. Our soldiers said that Russia came here forever, and then sent them to the Ukrainians for reprisal... Why is Putin once again betraying them as people in the Donbass?
Most of all now I am afraid for Donetsk and Lugansk. There is the highest level of support for Russia. If we do the same with the inhabitants of these territories, then I will never forgive the authorities. In this case, tens or hundreds of thousands of citizens from there will be terribly punished Ukrainian soldiers who do not forgive the betrayal of their fellow citizens...

Okay, that is, the situation is this:
1. Washed away the fortifications of the RF Armed Forces on the low left bank
2. Flooded two cities under the control of the Russian Federation on the low left bank (cities and villages on the high right suffered less)
3. It is possible that water will stop flowing to Crimea again
4. Restarting the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (under Russian control) will be very difficult, if not impossible (it needs water for cooling)
Well, yes - the dam was already harassed by Himars, finding out its strength, which was written about six months ago by The Washington Times.
Conclusion - the Russian Federation blew up the dam. Borrell figured out everything in the morning and blamed whoever was needed for everything. Hydraulic genius.
If anything, I don't know what happened to the dam. So far, the most reasonable thing I have read is that the dam has not been serviced for more than a year, it was hit with Himars by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the bridge over it was blown up during the retreat of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, before that, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had been pounding on the bridge across the dam for many days. During the high water, the dam was kept on parole, and now it could collapse because of anything - for example, some large debris that hit it. (Surprisingly, even Ruslan Leviev adheres to this version - google who it is). Here the obvious analogy is the Ludendorff Bridge over the Rhine.
The Americans captured it on March 7, 1945, after which the Germans tried for ten days to destroy the bridge with all their might, using V-2s, jet bombers, and even, it seems, their version of kamikaze. The bridge stood, and then collapsed without any German raids in the middle of the day - the fatigue of the structure affected.
There is one convincing argument in favor of this version: judging by satellite images, the dam began to collapse on June 1st. A spillway near the S-shaped bridge grew that day, and the bridge itself collapsed on June 2, before the dam broke.
Now it seems that the explosion was not particularly useful to both sides, although to varying degrees. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have temporary difficulties with forcing the Dnieper, but, firstly, from all that is known, they were not going to force the Dnieper - and did not have the means for this, and secondly, the water will leave and the Dnieper will return to the channel, but the fortifications of the Armed Forces are being built The RF has already been washed away. Secondly, it washed away the islands, for which the Armed Forces of Ukraine fought for a lot of time. But it takes two to fight - the RF Armed Forces also fought for them. Finally, thirdly, although the right bank is higher, a lot more people simply live on it, so in the flood zone on the right bank, as a result, even more people may end up (although the situation there is still much less difficult: the lion’s share falls on one district of Kherson - Shipbuilder, from which it is not particularly difficult to evacuate people - there is a large city nearby that will not flood the whole. This is incomparable with the severity of the situation in Novaya Kakhovka and Alyoshki, where not only the cities themselves were flooded, but everything around them).
The argument that on May 31 the government of the Russian Federation adopted a resolution that suspends the technical investigation of accidents in hydraulic structures "due to military operations, sabotage and terrorist acts," which means that the Russian Federation blew up, is also not convincing. In Kyiv, they can also read the news, and if they were preparing a sabotage, then it is logical that it should have been carried out immediately after the adoption of such a law - here our beloved legislators could miraculously set themselves up. Although such an explanation hardly passes the test of Occam's razor.
There is, however, a simpler explanation. The decision was adopted after it became known about the deplorable state of the same Kakhovka dam. The spillway was opened on June 1 precisely because they were waiting for a decision: it was necessary to open in any case, too much water had accumulated, but “on the ground” they understood that the opening could lead to the collapse of the dam, and therefore refused to take responsibility. That is why the decision was made.

@alonewanderer4697 Yep, that's definitely a sign of quality. These foreign agents are so good that they rejoice in the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, when a supporter of the Navalny Foundation blew up a military blogger. Foreign agents arranged a holiday out of this, explained what a good event it was, why it was right and wonderful. Such wonderful people, a sign of quality! I wish all these foreign agents rejoicing in the terrorist attacks in Russia to feel it for themselves! I wish you more similar "opposition". I want you to feel it for yourself.
The Russian opposition has now completely discredited itself: they openly rejoice at the deaths of Russian soldiers, they rejoice at the explosions in Russia, they rejoice at the suffering of Russians, they do not defend the interests of the Russians, they do not try to find a compromise, they offer a complete and total humiliation of Russia. The Russian opposition has discredited itself and Russian society will never follow them. It looks like they want to take revenge on the Russians for not fighting Putin.
In fact, we have that the "Russian opposition" does not care about the future of Russia and Russians. People see it very well. And so the Russians will never follow them.
This is the main problem of Russia. There are no worthy alternatives to Putin. There are only all kinds of idiots left like Navalny, Volkov and others, whose main goal is to fight Putin, and not offer an alternative to the current government. They were just trying to eliminate Putin.
Maybe that's why Putin did not touch them for a long time, because they are worthless and create the illusion of choice.

@MyPrideFlag Haha, Ukraine is a sovereign country. That's funny. Today, Ukraine is completely controlled by Western elites. You are asking Russia to defend itself exclusively on its own territory. Wonderful. I agree with it. Only here there should be one important condition: the United States and other NATO countries must also comply with these rules. The United States has unleashed a huge number of wars around the world over the past decades. The United States, under the guise of building democracy, destroyed a bunch of countries. Iraq, Libya, Syria, and so on. The US must stop attacking other countries, atone for its guilt before Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yugoslavia and other countries.
If we see that NATO countries change their approach towards other countries, then we will treat you accordingly. The problem with your worldview is that you evaluate the same events in completely different ways. When states are destroyed in the interests of the United States, you call it the restoration of democracy. When military actions are unfavorable to your countries, you call it genocide, occupation and blah blah.
The problem is not as simple as it seems :) We are just assessing the potential risks from a military alliance that is aimed primarily at capturing countries. That's all. We will suffer from the sanction, that's right. The standard of living will fall, but turning Russia into Libya or Syria due to the desire of American friends seems to me a less favorable outcome.

@ZamraHh-y3t Assad cannot produce oil in his own country, which he controls. This is just hilarious. Why do you decide for the Syrians who has the right to rule their land? You are the damn occupiers. I don't like their ruler, so we're occupying the land. We, NATO, are a defensive alliance, but if we do not like some ruler, then we will bomb their land and occupy it. Why is Russia afraid? We're just protecting ourselves. The dictator in Syria threatened the US. Better take an interest in the Syrian opposition, which you armed and who killed a huge number of civilians. But no, these are "democratic forces". They can kill civilians. Completely forgot. You can go through all countries with dictatorial regimes in this way and destroy them into dust. It is much more pleasant to live in a bombed-out country with millions of killed inhabitants than under dictatorships. I think the Syrians are grateful to you for the civil war, the divided country and the millions of lives lost. By the way, terrorists appeared in Syria after you unleashed a civil war there, supporting the opposition with weapons. You yourself brought Syria to the state where it was filled with terrorists. Well done.
Thank you! We also want the same in Russia. We just dream about it.
Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. If my Russia is gone, I will do my best to get into one of your countries and harm you.
Just a little hint. If it seems to you that in some country there is not enough democracy, then you do not need to interfere in the affairs of this country. The residents themselves must change their government, the residents themselves must decide the fate, and not you, giving the oppositionists money and arming them to fight against their power.
Your intervention in the affairs of a foreign country, on the contrary, is increasing confidence in their leader. We have some oppositionist Navalny there. You don't have to care what we do with him. We ourselves will decide what to do with it and how our authorities should act with it.
I am not a fan of Putin, but despite how many years you have been trying to influence Russian politics, I have to support him. It would be better for Putin to rule than your oppositionists, whom you are preparing to replace him.

Yes, it would seem that Ukraine has been fighting for independence for 30 years, but every year life is getting worse and worse. During the terrible occupation of Ukraine, the population grew by ten million, received a powerful industry, a beautiful and friendly country. Over 30 years of "independence" lost more than 10 million people, lost industry, got a destroyed country, a civil war associated with the division of society. And the more the greatness of the country seems, the more the people of Ukraine will suffer. So far, everything is heading towards a terrible scenario, where millions of Russians and Ukrainians will die in a fratricidal war.
There will be a great country, but without people... The country will need only soldiers.

You have a rather superficial idea of what is happening. Now, in fact, there is a confrontation between NATO and Russia. And each side wants to get as many resources as possible. If Russia loses, then Russia will be ruled by people working for the West. Your elites are just as interested in influence, money and power, but they don't give a damn about the Russians. Anyway.
Accordingly, I do not believe that now we can make peace and pretend that nothing happened, we are friends and so on. Pretty sad, but true. This, of course, does not mean that Russians and Finns need to start hating each other.
But we need to understand that the confrontation between Russia and NATO will go on for a long time. Over time, when decades or generations pass, we will be able to cooperate again. This has happened more than once in history. And I hope that Russia will be able to survive as a single and independent state.
To be honest, we don't need your slogans about democracy, freedom and blah blah. Your Western elite is using this to impose regimes on other countries over which they will have influence. I do not want you to build power in Russia. I want the Russian people to build power in Russia without any outside influence. I do not want the United States to interfere in the internal affairs of Russia, as in Ukraine, Georgia, and so on. Therefore, I never support the defeat of Russia and the pro-Western coup.
