Comments by "Андрей Борцов" (@Mentol_) on "Stalin: Britain's Unlikely Hero Of World War Two? | 1941 & The Man Of Steel | Timeline" video.
The USSR defeated both Germany and Finland. What is your problem? In the winter war, the red army experienced temporary problems that were overcome.

@bluefmi World War is a coalition conflict. The USSR in 1939 did not join any of the coalitions and declared neutrality. The Soviet intervention in Poland was not World War II. It's just that after the collapse of socialism in eastern Europe, history was rewritten to show Stalin as the bad guy.

@ryanstrasser9013 Timothy Snyder is a politically motivated propagandist. And he says that Stalin killed 7 million people, not 60. But these 7 million include victims of hunger, deportations and the gulag. However, there is no evidence that these people were killed by the government on purpose, so they should be excluded from statistics. In reality during the entire period of Stalin's rule, 776k people were sentenced to death. Not millions.

Stalin's paranoia exists only in foreign propaganda, not in reality. Stalin was a pragmatist.

@peterbradshaw8018 What did I write incorrectly? Germany and Finland won the war against the USSR? In fact, during the Winter War (39-40), the Finns used massive propaganda that said they had won the War of Independence, and the Soviet point of view was not available in the West because the USSR was a closed state. For this reason, many people in the west still think that the USSR lost the winter war.

It is a myth. According to Soviet documents, Stalin knew that war was inevitable already in mid-June 1941 (before the German invasion). But he did not have enough time to complete the mobilization of the red army - it takes about a month.

For the capitalist, the rich farmer (kulak) is the criterion of success. But for the USSR it was a criminal who used the hired labor of people and usury. The USSR was not a capitalist state, therefore its criteria for success are not relevant.

@joeschmoe435 Show me a document that proves that the famine in the USSR was organized by Stalin. Of course you won't and you recommend that I watch propaganda films that are based on conspiracy theories.
1
1. You are not giving a link to Soviet documents. 2. Lenin Stalin and Trotsky were from the Russian empire.
1
@joeschmoe435 You gave me a link to documents that allegedly prove that the Soviet government deliberately organized the famine. I don't have time to read the entire list, and even more so without an interpreter. Give me the page number and the title of the document so that I can find the original in Russian and read it.

@jamiewatchorn7639 Firstly, there were more soldiers in Germany on the eastern front until December 1941. Secondly, the number of soldiers in itself does not give you victory. You need strategy, industry and motivation.

Read German documents. Germany had a continental strategy.

"Communism killed more than the Nazi's ever did" - this is the propaganda that the capitalist system creates to discredit any economic alternative for itself.
1
@jimbo5973 Why do you think that the goal of socialism is to create a profitable economy? This is the goal of capitalism. By the way, did you know that socialism is one of the answers to the crisis of capitazim? These two appearances do not exist without each other. Therefore, when you say that there is no alternative to capitalism, then you deny the laws of evolution.

I, S. 253-258.

Because you are talking about the image of a virtual Stalin that never existed. The real Stalin had the experience of the civil war in Russia and at the beginning of the barbarossa operation began the permanent mobilization of the red army, which later created reserves to save Moscow.

@belekas2729 If your relative was deported to Siberia, then he was guilty before the state. But Soviet policy must be judged from the opinion of the government, not its opponents. This is the basic logic.
