Molotov pact did not contain goal of creating an alliance. And poland was mostly agrarian state who had no chance in war vs industrial germany.

Agrarian poland had no chance vs industrial germany.

German shortages after war in poland is myth. Hitler postponed the war vs france due problems with the weather and unpreparedness of the military plan.

@blurrpp314 After the German generals were captured by the allies, they told what germany was very weak and tried to show themselves as victims of Hitler in order to receive less punishment. In reality, studies are available that show that the Wehrmacht had no problems with artillery ammunition after the war with Poland. This is the same level of myth as the attack of the Polish cavalry on German tanks.

Ussr was official neutral state and dont involve in global war until june 1941. So you incorrect.

@andreispurim World War is a coalition conflict between great powers. The USSR declared its neutrality in September 1939. This means that this state is not involved in a global war, but can take part in border conflicts (Poland, Finland). If you carefully read the text of the Molotov-Ribentrop Pact, you will see that there is no purpose in it to create an alliance with Germany. An attempt to create an alliance ended in failure in November 1940 when Molotov arrived in Berlin to negotiate with Hitler. But Hitler did not need an alliance with the USSR because he thought that this would make Germany dependent on Soviet resources, so he started a war against him to get these resources for free.

Higher losses not necessary means bad command or morale, it often means material superiority of enemy.

@ShootRapids War was between armies, not civilians. At the beginning of winter war ussr had 425k soldiers vs 337k in finland. In main direction of attack it was 169k soviets vs 130k finns. But finns was on devensive line. And soviet purge did not affect to red army - this is old myth.

@ShootRapids 760k was in March 1940. Tanks are of little help to the attacking side in such limited terrain. Science tells us that if the attack on the fortifications ended unsuccessfully or the encircled divisions are destroyed, then your army loses more soldiers than the enemy. When the Mannegheim line was broken, the war ended quickly and the Red Army did not have time to take advantage of the destroyed defenses to equalize the losses.
