The Germans lost more. They just had more missing persons and fewer registered dead.

Yes. From the Wehrmacht, local nationalism and capitalism.

@mamunursiam9806 There are statistics that show that the percentage of foreign deliveries was negligible during the period of the German offensive (1941-1942). After that period ussr cant lose war. Those words of Khrushchev and Zhukov that some people like to quote were said during the struggle against the cult of Stalin in the USSR. And the quote of Stalin himself, said during the war, was aimed at strengthening the contribution of the allies to the common struggle against Germany.

The Germans had more ammunition for heavy artillery from the beginning of the war until 1944. This factor strongly influences infantry losses. Plus, the average level of education in the Wehrmacht was higher than in the Red Army.

@evanmoore3114 My sources are mostly in Russian. Analysis of Wehrmacht losses shows that German statistics do not take into account the losses of lightly wounded soldiers who did not evacuate to the hospital and were treated in the army infirmary. Those were about 30% more than indicated in the statistics. In addition, German casualties do not count all missing persons as killed. Data from Rüdiger Overmans extrapolated to Operation Bagration shows that the Wehrmacht's casualties (220-250k) were higher than those of the Red Army (178k). As for the data on the balance of forces on the eastern front, they show that the Wehrmacht had a numerical superiority from the beginning of the war until November 1941. In December, the forces were equal. In 1942 the Red Army had a 35% superiority. In the middle of 1943, the superiority was 52%. At the beginning of 1944, the superiority was 71%. At the beginning of 1945 - 144%.

@evanmoore3114 In this operation, the losses of the Wehrmacht were higher than those of the Red Army. The author of the video made a mistake. And by the way, the USSR received a double numerical superiority at the front only in the middle of 1944. Prior to that, the balance of forces was favorable for the Wehrmacht. You can't just say that the Red Army won with numbers alone.
