I find that discipline often requires motivation

@Lord.alucarD likewise, bro. There are small things we can do to improve our lives slowly. We didn't wind up here overnight, and it's gonna take a while to get out of the hole I dug myself into. If I wait more, it's gonna take even longer, and the struggle will be even harder. Good luck o7

@sibisankar6727 just went and did a few pushups and situps. Was my form great? No. Was it better form than when I was sitting in front of my tv 5 minutes ago? Infinitely better. Gotta start small after so long. When I was in high school I was one of the most fit people there. Had the schoolwide record for pushups and pullups for a year until some gymnast kid crushed those the next year lol I just figured I'd always be healthy, smart, and ready to take on the world. That was foolish thinking. You're only as healthy, smart, and prepared for tomorrow as you make yourself today. Feels like I gotta start small, and build on a solid foundation.

Dude, this is literally the prime of your life. You'll never be more physically fit, smarter, or have more opportunities in front of you than you do right now unless you take advantage of those facts. I made the same mistakes this dude made and I'm 32 now with barely anything to show for it. Don't be like us. It's hard to just switch on again. I don't have the brainpower that I did when I was 19. I don't have the natural energy. Sitting all day and playing videogames also gave me a chronic stomach illness that the doctors haven't figured out yet. Don't waste your life. Videogames will be way better in 10 years. Go out there and live, learn, become somebody.

Before you know it, you'll be saying this exact same thing at 30y/o. Then you'll be saying it at 33. Then it'll be literally a decade later in the blink of an eye because you never did anything and you'll be imagining all the things you could have done.

@Jerbert-qn4in but that's the entire point. You're an adult. Whether or not you choose to do the same thing at 20, 30, 40... that's entirely on you. The benefits? Depends how hard you work and what your goals are, I suppose.

@sibisankar6727 surely a fairy godmother will show up tonight and change everything about me magically and it'll fix me. Any day now...
