  2. In Italy we went from multi-generational families to no families at all in a generation 😂 never went thru the nuclear family phase. Same for some Asian countries. Why would a woman accept to have children, take care of them by herself, take care of the home, and often work outside the home too?? That's crazy. My parents had my sister and I in the 70s, and we grew up with our grandparents, cousins, uncles, aunts etc. My mother's generation fought for what they called a "housewife salary", because in a capitalist system all work should be paid, even housework and childcare. The government did not give them what they asked. So my generation and the ones after just stopped getting married and having children. Now they pay women to have children 😂 but its too little and too late. So our birthrates keep going down. Maybe they should have listened to women in the 70s.
