@xothehost123 I am a journalist, and as a journalist I look at FACTS, not opinions. I did not write that Italy is the best country in the world. Nor that it has the most powerful army, or has the most influence in politics. I do not even think our food, wine, fashion or cars are the best in the world. I said that Italy is on top of the most culturally influencial countries in the world. The fact we have the most UNESCO sites of any other country proves that the whole world recognizes the importance of our culture. We might be writing in English, but we are using the LATIN ALPHABET. We use the LATIN CALENDER. Many languages in Europe derive from Latin. The scientific method started in Italy. Roman Law is the base for modern law. There are just so many things we still use today all over the world that came from Italy, especially during the Roman Empire and the Renaissance but also much more recently. Italy is the "soft power superpower". I did not invent that, it is just facts. I do not consider myself a "patriot" at all. Italy has many faults, and I wonder sometimes how we still function as a State. Let alone how we got in the G7 club or other clubs of "important" countries. But there are facts you can not deny. Like our position in the Mediterranean being of high geopolitical importance, and our huge soft power. The Italian passport is one of the most wanted, because you can basically go everywhere in the world with an Italian passport. Not many other countries share that privilege with us. Really, I could write a book about it, but there already are many. Just read one and you will understand that I am just reporting cold facts. Not opinions, not feelings, only reality.

@user-js4sb4qq2h thank you ❤️ I know the EU as a whole, and single European countries have their own problems. Italy has ALOT of problems. Elections laws are changed all the time, and each time they get worse. We also have the problem that it is very difficult to get citzenship in Italy if you are not born here AND have Italian parents. There is a big debate about that here rn. There are hundreds of thousands of people who were born in Italy, graduated from Italian schools, work here, pay taxes here, but can not vote. That is not a democracy. Our media is not really "free" either. Almost half of Italian voters did not vote for the latest European elections. But with a multi-party system we still have a chance, I think. In France the Left managed to stop the far-right so far. In Italy the Left could win the next elections if they stay united (that's the main problem with our Left. They argue with each other too much). Young Italians and students have voted the Left parties en masse, unlike young people in Germany or France. So, not all is lost. The American system, on the other hand, was created to make it very difficult for a third party to emerge. But don't give up, nothing lasts forever 😉 it will take time, but you can change the status quo. A new party is not enough though. You need to create strong unions, grassroot movements, indipendent media etc. Educate the people. Create class consciousness. The Empire crumbles once people do not support it anymore. Good luck ❤️
