@jdahighroller9389 yeah of course the trade war is stupid. I never tried Californian wine, but I actually live in Colli Euganei (production area in Veneto for high quality wines), my family is in the wine business, so I really don't need American wine 😂

@twolaneblacktop5903 there is nothing the USA do better than Europe. The only field in which us Europeans are lagging behind compared to the USA or China is new technologies like AI and digital infrastructures. Not because of a lack of talents, but because of a lack of investiments. But things are changing now. I am looking forward to a "made in Europe" digital transition, not using American Big Tech. We need to stop relying on the Americans for important things like our defence and our communications.

@Thesaved101 the point is, Europeans are not nearly as stressed as Americans. No European goes bankrupt because of medical expenses. No European has huge student debt. No European can be fired at will. Very few mothers and infants die in Europe compared to America. Europeans have paid maternity and paternity leave, and 4 or more weeks of paid vacation. You might be lucky, but millions of Americans are not as lucky as you. I am "poor" compared to the average American salary, but my standards of living are 100% better in Italy. We also have real, good, often organic food here, not poison. I know you can buy decent organic food in the USA, but only wealthy people can afford it. I know because I have lived in the USA. In Italy good, fresh, healthy food is cheap. And I don't need a car either, because I can move by train, bus, tram, even airplane for cheap. Or I can walk or bike for free 😂 So if I drink too much wine, I can take public transport and get home safe. And as a woman, I feel safe to go out at night by myself, because we have basically zero violent crime in Italy. You can see why we have much less stress over here.

@NomisReburg aw thank you for your nice words! ❤️❤️❤️ Yes, you said it well. Wine is culture for Mediterranean countries. It's not just something to get drunk, like it is for most Americans. Beer is culture in Germany and other countries. Americans just do not understand European culture, or culture in general. They think the study of philosophy, the arts, literature, world history etc is a waste of time. It's very sad 😞 It is especially sad for American intellectuals, because there have been, and there are, great intellectuals in the USA, but they are not valued nor treated with respect over there. The USA are, and always have been, ANTI intellectuals. Now they are anti-science too. Many American scientists and researchers are desperately looking to move to the EU right now. I hope we can welcome them. Europe has a real chance to close the gap between the EU and USA on new technologies, by welcoming brains from the USA and other countries, and investing in new technologies (not only military ones). A nation without intellectuals, scientists and researchers has no future. Europe has been for centuries the continent of new inventions that changed the world forever. I am proud that my country was among these great nations, a country of inventors, intellectuals, scientists etc. Europe needs a new Renaissance, we need it now, and this situation with Trump might help us afterall ❤️ Our cultural diversity in Europe is a strength. @verttikoo2052 Absolutely. We only need to replace American Big Tech and pump up our defence industries, which we are absolutely able to do. As for the rest, we already are miles (or rather, kilometers 😂) ahead of Americans in quality.

@Thesaved101 As I already told you, I have lived in the USA, twice. I have studied in the USA for a year. I had a boyfriend from Florida for another year. I visited different American States, from NY to Hawaii. I have met hundreds of Americans especially throu my jobs. It is not just stuff I read on the Internet. I also do research, and data does not lie.

@klausschumacher7126 apart from Coca Cola (which is an American brand, but they produce it in Europe. And we have dozens of local Colas that are just as good), I don't think most American junk food chains are even available in Europe. Maybe in big cities like Milan or Paris. I know we have a couple of McDonalds here in Padova (North Italy), but I have never seen a Pizza Hut or Taco Bell or KFC in Italy 😂 They must be inside the American military bases. Who else would eat that poison?

@Thesaved101 I am extremely calm. I just hate lies. Americans are the ones killed by stress in the hundred of thousands ("In the United States, 120,000 people die each year as a direct result of work-related stress, according to the American Institute of Stress"). Americans, not Italians. Have a glass of good Italian wine and relax if you want to live long, healthy lives like us.

@Thesaved101 I never had debt in my life either. I would have if healthcare and universities were expensive like in America, but fortunately they are basically free in Italy (yeah yeah, not free-free, we pay for them with taxes. But even so, we pay much less that Americans. And the Italian healthcare system is always rated among the best in the world). Not to mention all the other benefits we get. I even get free spa days, because of my health problems. Spas are very relaxing. My government pays for me to relax in a jacuzzi with a glass of Prosecco. With a beautiful view of our hills, which are protected by UNESCO. Last weekend was "FAI days", two days during which we all can visit our artistic and natural heritage for free. My family sold so many wine bottles to tourists from all over Italy that we have none left for the American market 😂 I think Italians are buying more local and European products than ever. Like our Canadian friends are buying Canadian products. "Buy local, think global" was our slogan in the 90s against the American neoliberal globalization. I think it's coming back ❤️

In Italy, only Meloni is friends with the Twitter guy. Most Italians have a very negative opinion of Musk (and Trump). Tesla sales went down by 55% in Italy too, I don't know why everybody mentions France, Germany and the UK, but not Italy. Even our President hates Musk. Why are Italian protests of Musk not covered by the media?
