I love these women ❤ I am 49 and antinatalist. Exactly what I have been saying for years. The anti-choice people are responsable for pushing women to take more radical solutions.

@nbxrnbxr American women are still naive about men. Italian women stopped believing in marriage decades ago. We grow up with Italian men, we can see bs from miles away 😂 I had an American bf for a while, as soon as he started to talk about marriage I packed my bags and left Florida. I think it was after less than a year since we met. In Italy if we do get married, it's after 10 years of a relationship and living together. We do not marry that fast ever. You need to live with a person for years before you even think about marriage.

As an Italian exchange student in the USA in 1992, I was shocked by teen pregnancies. It was never a thing over here. And not because we dont have sex. I was shocked to see teen pregnancies in the UK too when I lived there. I thought the USA and UK would be much more progressive in this. Also, STDs.

@solarydays I dont mean to be mean, it's just Americans are more optimistic and naive than Europeans. It's not always a bad thing, but sometimes its dangerous. They rush into relationships, marriage, children. In Europe it's not like that. Also, do not not hook up with strangers, that's dangerous too. They say Italian women are hard to get. Yes, we are, because we want to know you before we go home with you. Just common sense.

@lizcollinson2692 in the USA there is still a huge problem with women dying from pregnancy/ childbirth issues compared to Europe. You guys have no free healthcare, no welfare, no workers rights, nothing. I think Europe can do much better than this, but the USA is so much worse. Apparently in Italy we have one of the best healthcare systems in the world, it is free, and to us, it is going to ruin. People are protesting very loudly. We have American and British people coming to live in Italy because of good, free healthcare. To me, this is crazy. Why are you people not having a revolution over there? Strikes? Something?

@solarydays that's us Europeans about everything 😂 from relationships to politics to religions to shopping etc. Very skeptic. I think Americans who visit Europe don't understand this thing about us. They don't like it. They think we are cold or rude or even xenophobic. Tbh, some are very xenophobic. But mostly, we are just skeptic. If a waiter or sales person is smiling too much or makes small talk, we think they have bad intentions 😂 If a guy flirts, we know they want sex, nothing serious. Anything a politician says, we know they are lying. Forget religion, American evangelicals have tried for decades to convert people in Italy, their missionaries give up after a few years 😂 they say it is impossible to make us care about the bible. Yeah, big skeptics.

@LogicalThinking-p2s only an American could say that 😂 That bs was never a thing here in Europe, not even in Italy. Condoms and the pill were.

The question is: why are American women still getting married? Why don't they just say no? No one is getting married in Italy anymore, and we are not exactly the most progressive or feminist country in the world. Or South Korea. They are saying no to marriage and children too. Just stop, they can not force you in the USA right? Unless you are in one of those crazy cults, like Mormons or Evangelicals.

I am antinatalist for moral reasons, and honestly it would be bad in a perfect world too. So in this one, you gotta be either evil, or very ignorant.

I am European, and I can honestly say that American republicans are way worse than any actual neo fascist party we have in Europe rn. And we have many, in Italy, France, Germany etc. Not one of them has a program near as bad as Project 2025. Meloni's answer to Italy's very low birthrates is not banning abortion or divorce. She is a single mother herself 😂 It is more welfare.

@kellharris2491 i did. I understand HOW. I dont understand WHY.

@sonohito5 I hate both too. It's disgusting.

@kidcoyoteanarchy of course they are.

@donnaroo8042 Ted Bundy appeared like that too.

Poisoning men is something Italian women were very good at centuries ago 😂 see acqua tofana 😂 Especially in the South where they were more oppressed. I am sure Italian American women still have the recipe if things get bad!
1
I agree, but as an Italian woman, why do American women keep getting married and having babies? We stopped decades ago 😂 I am 49, I dont know any married woman or mother my age. Just say no. I know American men, I have lived in the USA. They are terrible.
1
I am not American so I really dont know: why do they discriminate against the disabled?

@Whatsup_Abroad if this is the best, immagine the worst 😂 ww3 is coming, not only climate change and the end of capitalism. Do you hate your future children so much you want them to suffer like this?

This is what most Italians have been doing since at least generation x (me). We have the lowest marriage rate in Europe and one of the lowest birthrates in the world. They want to play stupid games, they are not going to win anything 😂
1
@Lorgar64 the only countries with a positive birthrate are some African countries where women have no rights. Great example for the USA I guess 😂
1
@lizcollinson2692 I think it's more about education. Even if in my country there was no welfare, I would never have children as a retirement plan. That is a terrible reason to have children. I would rather just kill myself. In Africa education is low, religion is high, so the poor keep on producing more poors unfortunately. And yes, good healthcare means less infant deaths and so less births.
1
I am Italian and I would have totally killed myself if I got pregnant and could not abort. I am glad it is not a risk now that I am 49. I am positive the number of suicides, homicides and infanticides will go up in the USA if the Republicans get their way. I dont understand if they know this.

No offence, but American women are kind of naive. I have lived in the USA for 2 years, I got to know many women. I also know Americans here in Italy. Tbh, alot of American men are naive too. You guys still believe in marriage, children, the American dream etc... in Europe we are so much more realistic. We have seen alot more shit I guess, and we stopped believing in fairytales a long time ago. Same thing with religion. No one in Italy is religious like in the USA. Half of Italian do not believe in god, even the ones who say their are "catholic". Americans have been living in a bubble for decades. I think some are waking up now.
1
@solarydays yeah, Italians always wear sunglasses so we can avoid eye contact 😂 ignore the catcalls. Do not smile to strangers. It works for us. Where are you from?
1
@solarydays yes, being blunt in the USA is very much a no no. And yes, hooking up with strangers is not being sexually forwards 😂 it's just risky for women. The USA is still a sexually repressed society. The puritan culture is still alive and well there. They freak out about a female nipple in public. It's the same about drugs. We are just more about damage control in Europe, not repression.
1
@solarydays European things 😉 We are all different in Europe, but all united when compared to the USA 😉

@chichi77tim grazie 😀❤️
