@TheDrewSaga Wrong! Baby Boomers continue to oppose wars, even today. Remember the antiwar demonstrations against Dubya's wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? They were led by Cindy Sheehan, an aging Baby Boomer. The antiwar movement died out because the generations after the Baby Boomers did nothing to replace them. By the way, what generation "wanna" fight in a war? That was rhetorical.

@deus_ZOD Actually, you do have to earn the right to keep and bear arms. The bare minimum is called a background check. To open/close carry, many states require training and testing. Of course, we need to add additional ways for all potential gun owners to earn that right, such as safety training, testing, licensing and insuring. Thus, the first half of 2A is the safeguard that is supposed to protect We the People from the wrong people who want to gain access to firearms.

@TheDrewSaga If you don't think Baby Boomers did not have to deal with the police state, you need to watch videos from demonstrations during that era. The police state has been with us since the police were invented to control the people. Take a look at the DNC convention in Chicago 1968 for a real eye opener. The Democratic Party conspired with the Chicago Police, and a three day riot was the result.

@lauratanner8475 "Well Regulated" covers all of that. Most of our laws are not mentioned in the Constitution either. That doesn't make them unconstitutional. The fact that gun nuts ignore the first half of 2A IS the fault of gun nuts.

@paulsansonetti7410 What war on guns? 2A does not ban guns. It makes it constitutional to ban certain groups of people from owning and operating guns for safety reasons. The war is on those who are not well regulated, and thus, have not earned the right to keep and bear arms. According to 2A, a well regulated militia is regulated by the government. It is 1A that contains the check against tyranny. If you try to use 2A instead, you will be guilty of treason, as per the Constitution, and guilty of domestic terrorism, as per the US Patriot Act. There are no constitutional or legal means for raising arms against the government and starting bloody revolutions.

Being mentioned in the Constitution is literally the reason why those laws are constitutional. Of course, there is no law that prevents Congress, state, county or local governments from enacting their own constitutional gun laws. You argue against reality. You need serious help.

@kylec.6818 Yes, "well supplied" with the knowledge of how to safely handle and shoot a firearm. Once that is proven, then and only then does a person earn the right to keep and bear arm. That is why we have hundreds of constitutional gun laws throughout the country. By the way, you do realize, "regulated," and "supplied," are not synonyms, right?

The judge will really enjoy that, as he renders the strictest sentence possible against you. Meanwhile, even the Supreme Courts going back well over 100 years all agree, there are indeed "Constitutional" gun laws. During the Heller decision, Chief Justice Scalia even wrote in his opinion it is constitutional to deny all guns to specific groups of people, such as criminals, the insane, the untrained, unsupervised minors, etc. Time for your anti-simpleton meds, and then a nap.

@Face2theScr33n LOL! Most constitutional laws are passed into law by Congress and the president and are not in the Constitution. That doesn't stop all of those laws and the Constitution from being raised to the Supreme Law of the Land. So take that, "God-given rights"! God has absolutely nothing to do with US law. Meanwhile, the US has had constitutional gun laws for over 200 years, plus Supreme Court Chief Justices who have reaffirmed the constitutionality of gun laws designed to keep all firearms out of the hands of the wrong people. Don't like it? Take it up with the Supreme Court.
