  10.  @iceman9678  Again, SS is not a part of the general budget. SS Trust Funds exists independently. Money paid in is used to purchase US Treasury Bonds and Bills, as per the law.

It matters not if the budget runs a surplus or deficit, or how the money is spent. Even during government shutdowns, SS benefits continue to be paid out to recipients.
