  1. Jimmy Dore IS WRONG! His 'force the vote' strategy is no better than AOC's long term base-building strategy. They both want to kick the can down the road. But Jimmy only wants to kick it down to the next election. Of course, neither of their strategies get the people what they want and need right now. However, the following strategy does get what we want and it gets what we want BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR. The correct strategy is to combine the M4A bill and a decent bailout bill for the people, as well as the Green New Deal, with the mammoth omnibus funding bill, which has so far required two continuing resolutions to prevent a government shutdown. This bill has to pass soon, for obvious reasons, both corporate parties want it passed ASAP, which is why progressives should add their bills to it. That is how we get what we want this year without delay. How do we get progressive bills added when the status quo is against them? As Jimmy points out, all the House progressives have to do is threaten to withhold their vote for Pelosi. All the people have to do is call for a general strike, and then actually strike until our demands are met.
