If the US tax code was actually progressive, then the wealthy class takers would actually pay a higher PERCENTAGE of their income in taxes than the working class producers or the poor. Account for local, state, and SALES TAXES, and the poor pay far more as a PERCENTAGE of their income. Then comes the working class producers, with the wealthy class takers paying the smallest PERCENTAGE of all.

  50.  @kylezo  A better way would be to require all corporations to issue a percentage of outstanding stock to an employees' fund, which could be distributed by the employees to the employees. The percentage could increase every year until the employees own over 50% of the companie's stock. This could avoid a major selloff, which would crash the stock price.
