That's a false equivalency. First of all, national gun laws have proven to reduce gun violence in every other modern industrialized country in the world, and they can reduce gun violence in the US as well. In fact, states that have stricter gun laws have less gun violence than states with lax gun laws.
Second, using guns is the most effective, efficient way of killing people. All other ways take considerably more effort, and usually requires the participation of more than one psycho. Plus, it is proven that when stricter national gun laws are adapted, the overall rate of violence goes down, and not up.
Third, the recent attacks in Europe can be generally attributed to the fact that the US has raged wars of choice and terror in Middle East and Northern African countries for hegemonic gain. That has produced millions of refugees flooding into Europe, which is destabilizing virtually every community in Europe.
Of course, that has everything to do with the fact that the US Government has too many WMDs, and they have proven that those WMDs need to be taken away from them.
The facts are in, the less guns and the less WMDs there are in the country and in the world, the less violence there is in the world as well.
