No one should be forcing any majority self-rule population on this planet into anything against their will. Why humans like Putin are so fucking evil and idiotic over this one can only surmise. The main issue humanity has here is patently simple: right now, we ditch any kind of self-identity linked to a random, arbitrary accident of birth. Unless, and until we can get over this hurdle of hitching our individual stars to a frickin meaningless accident of birth, there will be no peace on this planet. Nationalism, after organised religion, has been the most egregious baleful blight on our species we have ever had the misfortune to invent. The main issue here, however, is that boring old baleful blight on humanity that we just can’t seem to shake: defining ourselves as a result of an accident of birth. Unless, and until we can ditch primitive ideas revolving around meaningless, arbitrary, random accidents of birth, along with unverified, unverifiable daddy’s in the sky, then we have little chance of getting out of here alive, given what we can now do to each other with advanced technology.😳
