I don’t know if Luke Mitchell is guilty or innocent but my instinct, having watched this (and other stuff about this case), is that he’s innocent. One thing I’m sure about is that it’s cases like these that are my no.1 reason for not supporting the death penalty.

@KJosef24 One other thing: to call his mother ‘mad’ betrays a complete bias on your part and probably rules you out as a credible witness. 👍

@KJosef24 I take your point, but I’m from quite near Dalkeith and have followed this case very closely from day 1. Watched and read everything there is to know about it and my considered working assumption is that he’s innocent.

@KJosef24 Just for the record, (and I know they aren’t foolproof), both he and his mother took lie detector tests and passed. My belief he’s innocent doesn’t solely rest on this, of course, but this along with all the other stuff (namely the complete lack of forensic evidence directly linking him to this crime) make me think he’s probably (not definitely) innocent.

@KJosef24 Nah, that doesn’t really work, mate. I can think of loads of reasons folks wouldn’t want to publicly support a suspected murderer. You don’t know what their motives are. All I know is this: having followed this case from day 1, as I told you, I would would bet very good money (if I had it! ) that Mitchell is innocent. That’s having looked at everything involved in this case. Something doesn’t feel right about his conviction. And I say that having zero connection to the dude.👍
