  1. This kinda stuff just staggers me on the very basic level of lack of curiosity. It almost seems that these people just don’t have any real curiosity and if they do, it’s on an incredibly narrow bandwidth. On a wider point, this lack of curiosity in many (not all!) Americans gets even worse when we move beyond the border: if you think this lack of basic knowledge about their own country is bad, they know next to nothing about the rest of the planet!
