@hendrixinfinity3992 Get real, m8. You think we couldn’t train up and pay correctly a bunch of health carers if we didn’t put our minds to it? 👍🤣
4
@hendrixinfinity3992 Look, m8, we’ll just have to disagree on this one. You see no issue with current levels of Western European immigration. I do. We can agree to disagree. 👍
4
Lol. It’s uncanny. The best doppelgänger I’ve seen in ages! 👍🤣
4
@GrandpaVince You tell ‘im, Vincey! 👍🤣
4
@SA-ff9uc No. I mean potential civil wars. 👍
4
You’re right it’s not called the ‘Sunshine State’. That’s Florida.😉
4
@sandybennett_itsme Indeed. Easy to steal these quotes and pass them off as your own for likes. This one has been doing the rounds for yonks.👍
4
@PermissiontospkWhy did they give what back?
4
@jimgavin1726 Huh? Not sure what your point is, Jimbo. 🤔
4
@jimgavin1726 Er, no it doesn’t. You made an error in your comment accusing me of ‘stereotyping’. All I was doing was stating pure facts, Jimbo. Bad luck. 👍
4
@jrbailey3208 ’Elitist snobbery’? Lol. Wtf are you wittering on about, darling? 🤔
4
@joni8090 To be fair, I agree with you, mostly. I would just make this point, however; India has always been hot - not sure that days on end of 42 Celsius are that much different from days on end of 41 Celsius.
4
@jimthompson9370 We can agree to disagree, Jim.👍
4
Or also in the words of Elton John: “Don’t let the sun go down on me.” 😳
4
Er, he’s dead.
4
@@TOM-TOM-TOM You may have missed this bit: I have no intrinsic issue with the existence of Israel; the simple point I was making was that they were in for trouble after its creation, due to the way it was done and where it is. 👍 I would emphasise ‘the way it was done’, here. 👍
3
@@TOM-TOM-TOM Huh? Wtf are you on about at this point? 🤔 Did you actually read my OP? You just sound like a random having a go. Get a grip. Nothing I have said is remotely controversial. If you can’t cope with this then that is not my problem, darling.

@arthurzengeler8296 Translation: “Empty vessels make the loudest sound.”
3
@darkflighter100 I think Pirsig was simply strafing the fundamentalist religious mindset. He’s telling us to mistrust the loudest. Incidentally, it’s far from a platitude, mate, and it’s even less of one when you read the whole book from which it’s taken to establish context.😉
3
@tobyjackman3212 Harsh crowd.
3
Certainly warming, Jimbo. You need to stop frying those chips or you could be left with egg on your face.😉🤣
3
@BickYok Ayr? I’ve never visited tbh.👍
3
@shaney9393 *.

I once wanted Sharia Law. She was this gorgeous bird who used to sit next to me in my accountancy lectures. When I found out her punishments for minor infringements I ran a mile! 🤓
3
@FjS-GLY Ty.

@marinasparkles Doubt he’d go for Poland before the Baltic states. He may, but it’s doubtful, given what Putin really seems to want is the re-establishment of the old USSR configuration. To attempt ex-Warsaw Pact (now NATO) countries before that would be reckless in the extreme on his part, and for all his monomaniacal madness, there is a very definite method therein. Having said that, all 3 Baltic ex-USSR states are all NATO as well, so yes, maybe the freak-nut would go for Poland next. Jeez. What a depressing thought. 😢
3
@gerryh7895 Lol. If you think Hezbollah are happy with the existence of Israel, you need to take a look at its founding charter. 👍
3
@LukiaChan08 Huh? Did you actually read my OP, or are you just venting? 🤔
3
@dondoodat Not a “drama queen” response at all. Perfectly calm and logical here, mate. Last year there were 45,755 arriving in boats across the Channel. Some of these people will be genuine asylum seekers and those who are can stay, no further debate. The vast majority, however, are young men seeking economic opportunity. That’s fine. All I’m saying is that the UK has the right of refusal if they are economic migrants. This really isn’t that difficult and I’m not sure why it’s even up for debate.
3
@JamesSmith-qs4hx You wrote that one yesterday, Jimbo. Nice to know you’re into recycling, mate! 🤣
3
@plurabelle5 I’m an anti-colonialist. A random accident of birth I had no say in doesn’t make me complicit in the colonialism of my forefathers.😉
3
@khoyrulislam Huh? Well, it does work like that as I never voted for that government. Nice try though, pal.👍

🤣

Scene: NATO headquarters. Putin is meeting with NATO members. Putin: “I’m not happy with having a state bordering Russia that will have missiles directed at Moscow, capable of hitting in minutes.” NATO: “I’m sorry, Mr Putin, but this is a case of a sovereign nation taking its own decisions.” Putin: “Mexico has agreed to sign a pact with Russia allowing us to station missiles on the US/Mexico border directly targeting Washington DC. What are you going to do?” NATO: “We will move to remove these missiles, and invade a self-governing, sovereign nation to do this if necessary.” Putin: “Oh really? How interesting.”

@patriot7021 You can have “community” and “unity” without nationalism. I’m also not arguing for cultural homogeneity and am not saying we shouldn't cherish our cultural differences. On the contrary, I believe diversity is a wonderful thing and I find it fascinating that nearly every group of people out there has devised their own ways of communication, worship etc. Just don't let that devolve into "we are better than them", as it usually happens. However, if I see a sufficient cause to combat (eg. Nazism) I don’t need a nationalistic umbrella to prompt me to that cause. Yes, we have organised the world politically into nation-states; just don’t expect me to be loyal to something so nebulous, artificial and ultimately so arbitrary.
3
@patriot7021 Evening! Edinburgh. 😉
3
Republi-c*nts?
3
@vladimirputin4822 Steady Vlad. You’re not above a good spanking, sonny.
3
@chrisspencer6502 That makes no sense, but ty anyway.
3
@faraz2498 Yeah, but this dude isn’t ‘Gerald’. Clearly.
3
@razachaswills5076 I made a perfectly ‘sensible point’. The fact you can’t cope with it is not my problem. 😊
3
@janel342 You didn’t read my Versailles response, did you? I recommend it.😉
3
Nah. I blame Islam for most of this stuff. It’s toxic.
3
@Scotland2306 Lol.
3
@mistag3860 Lol.
3
@PrivateWalker How so what?
3
@andrewlee-py9zm I don’t actually have a ‘very elementary understanding of religion’. You, on the other hand, have a very elementary understanding of basic punctuation and when to use capital letters and apostrophes.
3
Angela Rayner. Oh wait …
3
@JamesSmith-qs4hx *whose Jimbo, you never had a brain to “fry” in the first place! 🤪

David Harris Putin’s an arsehole. However, if you just think about this a little from his point of view, then it becomes clear why he might be doing this. He’s, quite simply, protecting his own self-interests, as he sees them. As we all do. To see him as ‘Vlad the Mad’ is a grave error. On the contrary, he knows exactly what he’s doing. No one does anything inappropriate given their model of the world. I happen to disagree with Putin, as anyone invading a sovereign, self-governing nation against its will is clearly a wrong’un. It just helps here to try to see things a bit from Putin’s view, no matter how much so many think Ukraine has suffered a grievous injustice. I’m with them in that.🤔
