  9.  @Richard_L_Y  I agree with that. My single, salient point throughout this thread is quite simple: historically, the west is just as culpable as Putin. Indeed, if we’re counting buckets of innocent blood, we have more to answer. No impartial onlooker could possibly deny this. That’s all. Putin’s a crazy, old Cold War relic just exacting revenge for the USSR’s loss in 1989. He’s having a last hurrah before he pops his brothel creepers.

  14. The issue isn’t immigration, per se, it’s Islam. Most Europeans just don’t want Islam, as the evidence is that it causes trouble wherever it goes. This has actually already started. The recent riots were largely fuelled by antipathy to Islam. The political class here, and more widely in Western Europe, ignore this feeling of the masses at their peril. If they do ignore it in the long run, it will return with a vengeance at a not too distant point down the line.
