The issue isn’t immigration, per se, it’s Islam. Most Europeans just don’t want Islam, as the evidence is that it causes trouble wherever it goes. This has actually already started. The recent riots were largely fuelled by antipathy to Islam. The political class here, and more widely in Western Europe, ignore this feeling of the masses at their peril. If they do ignore it in the long run, it will return with a vengeance at a not too distant point down the line.
