(Richard Dawkins) The brutal irony of this situation is that both sides believe in the same manmade, invented invisible sky daddy! Once you write this stuff down, and get a critical mass to buy into it, it’s very hard for humanity to shake, alas.

@sandrakrys9262 Jesus is an invented character, based on the dozens of dying/resurrecting pagan gods before him. The whole thing was stolen wholesale, more or less. Because humanity is highly susceptible to what we are taught when young (“Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man.” ~ Aristotle), and to what others around them believe, we are still in thrall to the regular nightmare of organised religion. It truly is one of the greatest disasters human beings have had the deep misfortune to invent. Only an enlightened education can end the nightmare. I say all this as a non-atheist.

@magidmagian2408 I made that point about the ‘one God’; these religion-drunk imbeciles actually believe in the same fictitious sky daddy! Nietzsche once asked: ‘Which is it: is man one of God's blunders, or is God one of man's blunders?’ ~ Well, while not an atheist (agnostic here), one thing I am sure of is that organised religion is one of mankind’s blunders.
