I’m pro legal immigration and obviously pro helping out genuine asylum seekers. But we have borders in this world, for better or worse, and surely every country, every country has the right to determine exactly who and who it does not admit. In the same way that every home-owner has a right to decide who to let into their house, Europe has this same right. As far as I can tell, most of these people are simply economic migrants (one lady explicitly admitted she has little money), and unless they have specific skills they can contribute to the economy or unless they are bona fide genuine refugees fleeing life-threatening war/persecution, a strong message should be sent out that the doors will be locked when they arrive at Europe’s house.

@علي-ش7ث8ب As long as we have a world set up with national sovereign borders, it should 100% be up to each individual country as to how many economic immigrants they want to intake.

If they are genuine refugees, yes. If they are economic migrants, then it should be 100% up to the intaking country to decide.
