What’s so often lost in this conflict is that you can support the Palestinians without supporting Hamas, just as you can support the Israelis without supporting Netanyahu. These are too often confused. The Palestinians aren’t Hamas just as the Israelis aren’t Netanyahu. The ordinary human gets lost in it all.

@aleksandars764 I kinda think if the Palestinians were offered their own state including the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the majority would accept. Tbh, given that Israel didn’t exist until 1948, I don’t think this is too demanding. After all, Israel took the Golan Heights from Syria and, tbf, it has enough to be getting on with. I suppose my basic point is rather simple, this will not end without a 2 state solution: Israel and Palestine within safe, secure borders. It seems everyone else can see this, aside from Israelis and Palestinians!

@tierneylogan5943 So put it to a vote in a referendum. It’s easy to say Palestinians oppose a 2 state solution. I’m here to tell you that if there were a referendum tomorrow on a 2 state solution, I actually reckon a majority of them would vote in favour of this. Of course, the real nitty-gritty will come down to how things are parcelled out, but if this were done justly, honouring both sides, I repeat, I think the Palestinians would accept this in a majority vote.
