  1. While the death of Ruth Perry is obviously tragic, I recall not so long ago looking at my school report: Inadequate. Must do better. Tragic. Needs remedial measures. Hopeless. Disaster. The saving grace was the art teacher gave me a ‘tries hard but is a obviously an untalented *rsehole’. The point? Life is hard. You need to work at it. You shouldn’t be called good if you’re not good.
