  1. Regardless of whether you accord with Baddiel’s politics, he is always worth listening to. It’s always about politics: if you’re pro-Israel, you’re automatically right-wing and if you’re pro-Palestine you’re automatically left-wing. It doesn’t work like that. People are complicated. I can’t stand Israel’s current foreign policy but I have zero problem with Jews. Simultaneously, I have zero issue with Palestinians but loathe militant Islam. It’s too easy to conflate stuff and condemn people without properly looking into their ideas and motivations.
