  1. On the principal of ‘garbage in, garbage out’, if ‘most’ Russians in Russia support this war then that is just testament to the power of Putin’s propaganda machine. For all the west’s faults (and they are legion), any truly objective observer can see that life in America, or Britain, or France, or indeed Ukraine (leaving aside the intra-Ukrainian east/west tensions), is infinitely preferable to the relatively benighted existence the average Russian endures.
