  1. This is the eternal offence versus harm debate. You cannot be offended against your will, you are actively complicit in being offended. Someone offers you a comment and you have the choice whether to be offended or not. Now, the more extreme of Brand’s jokes I personally find repulsive but I’ve chosen that stance. The key issue here is has Brand harmed anyone and has he committed a crime? Hitherto, the jury is out.
