  1. It’s slightly different for Israel as Israel has a large Arab cohort and before 1948 Palestine was home to a diverse population of Arabs, Jews, and Christians, as all groups had religious ties to the area, especially the city of Jerusalem.

  2. So if Israel is allowed to form a nation state in lands they claim as their own why aren’t the Palestinians allowed to form a nation state in lands they claim as their own? Of course, this is the problem, and because Israel has been militarily bankrolled by the US for 75 years we have 2 sides unequally balanced and Israel feeling like it has carte-blanche to occupy and steal land from others. If the Palestinians had half the military backing Israel has, Israel would be far less likely to so easily occupy and trample over the basic human rights of the dignity and freedom of the Palestinians.

  3.  @Jack-oz3ig  Yes, we all know what Hamas wants but that’s not the point as the majority of Palestinians don’t support Hamas’ wish to exterminate Israel.
